Just surfed into your site and find it really enjoyable.
I was a member of Warrant Officer Candidate Class 63-1-W
which was the first class of WOCs to be trained as fixed wing pilots in the L19.
I flew the O1F in Vietnam in 64/65 with the original 73rd Avn. Co.
Racked up about 900 hrs. of good flying and got to see the country up close.

"RAY GILMER" - 1RAISIN@email.msn.com

Subject: 1st Air Commandos, Burma 1944

I was a Liaison pilot with the original 1st Air Commandos arriving in India in 1943
and flying 170 combat missions with the Chindits in Burma.

I am extremely interested in corresponding with any of the chaps that I knew there
and after I returned to the States.
It was probably one of the most useful periods of my life
and the fellow airmen that I flew with were exceptional men.

Brian Chersky #1522 - bchersky@earthlink.net

I'm a recent member of the ILPA and although I'm only 40 years old,
I have an appreciation for the original L-Birds.
I'm collecting the early ones.
So far I've got two of the harder ones to find:
1945 Stinson OY-2
in Arctic markings
with original radios
and stretcher in the back,

1943 Interstate L-6 which is 100% stock including
Franklin O-200-5,
Shinn wheels and brakes,
observer's folding table,
full greenhouse
,etc.
I'd like to correspond with others possessing the same aircraft.
The ILPA is a great way to preserve the history
of these fine aircraft. Brian Chersky
