125Kb .WAV

DC3-1; Is of C-FMOC taking off on Rwy 10 at Carp. C-FMOC is no longer in Ottawa but flying for Buffalo Airways of Yellowknife, NWT.

DC3-2; This file starts on the cockpit of MOC as the power is applied for takeoff. Then it switches to the outside sound which I believe is the same as the first file.

290Kb

DC3-3; This sound file begins with MOC starting its left engine, then cuts to the takeoff again. This is it for C-FMOC sounds. The remaining two are of two other aircraft.

DC3-4; This one is of C-47A-15-DK, c/n.12591, C-FDTH. It was flown by the Coast Guard division of the Ministry Of Transport. (See pg.122 of Survivors II). This is the aircraft that was put up for sale along with sister ship C-FDOT (now N1XP) (see Books and videos section)

DC3LNDG; This file of a DC3, was made from some home video footage. My friend Wes and I took a flight in C-FWGO of Classic Airlines when they did a couple of sightseeing tours from the National Aviation Museum here in Ottawa in 1994. The sound was taken from footage of the bird landing from the flight it did after ours. We picked a great spot right at the end of the runway. At its closest point, the DC-3 filled the entire view-finder on the video-camera. The aircraft itself is rather significant. It was designated a XC-53A-DO because it was modified with full span wing flaps and a heated leading edge de-icing system. A picture of this aircraft taken in 1946 while still wearing the unique flap system can be found on pg.93 of Survivor's I. In the book the current owner is listed as Air Dale which is obviously outdated.

Fly-by 2; Fly by of the "Million Dollar One" from the movie "Richie Rich"
Over Head; Overflight of a DC-3 - Be sure to duck!
